Enough about my new computer. Let’s talk about blowing sh!t up!

I have added a new category to my list of subjects, and that is Battletech. For those of you who don’t know about this wonderful miniatures wargame, it is the Fourth Millennium, and man has spread throughout the stars. It is also a time of war. The battlefield is now controlled by Battlemechs, or ‘Mech for short. These are 40 foot tall humanoid robots, controlled by a single person in a cockpit. These war machines are powered by fusion plants and bristling with lasers, particle cannons, slug throwing cannons, and missile racks.

There is a lot more to the universe because it has been around for over 20 years, but the basics are you put some ‘Mechs on a table and you start blowing things up.

I have a lot of the very old and rare ‘Mechs back when the universe came out that aren’t produced anymore. I am in the course of repainting about 75+ of them. I have to strip and repaint all of them to a uniform standard so I can use the back story (fluff) that already exists. Besides, I like the logo of the mercenary unit.

Pictures will follow as I start repainting them. Some of these ‘Mechs will look familiar, because their designs were “borrowed” from the old 80′s anime series Robotech as well as Exo-Squad. There is an ongoing copyright issue, which is why my old stuff is no longer being produced.

So, this post is to start talking about another game that I love and play every chance I get.
