Well, here is my first post in WordPress. It looks like it imported successfully, with the exception of linefeeds in some of the blockquotes that I have used. I am not going to go back over 2,021 posts and fix all of them, so I guess we’ll just have to live with them the way they are.
With this Dummies book, I’ll be figuring out how to fix the layout and spruce things up again. So hang on over the next week or so, I’ll be able to do a big chunk of it on Sunday and Monday when I don’t have anything to do.
Well, I’ve been with Six Apart’s Movable Type since I opened this blog some five and a half years ago. I think it’s time to change. I have just been frustrated with this software, so I’m going to try something new.
I almost switched over when I last upgraded, and in fact had a parallel install running, but backed out of WordPress at the last second. But before coming to Murfreesboro for an event that I am attending tomorrow, I bought the Dummies book for WordPress, and I’m going to take the plunge. If you can’t get into the Zone, that’s what’s happening.
