Believe it or not, there is a difference between Veterans Day and Memorial Day. On Veterans Day, we have the ability to thank those who served our country in person. If you haven’t done it so far, thank a veteran. They’re the reason why you have the freedom to do what you do today.
“It is the soldier, not the reporter,
Who has given us freedom of the press.
“It is the soldier, not the poet,
Who has given us freedom of speech.
“It is the soldier, not the campus organizer,
Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.
“It is the soldier, who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protester to burn the flag.”
–Charles M. Province
All gave some, some gave all. Some are still giving. POW-MIA.
