The 4th of July, Part 1
This holiday means a lot to me. As an American, as a veteran and as a father I love and respect this day. The rest of the world continues on this day, while we pause and enjoy a day off and view fireworks.
From the parades to the fireworks, we celebrate our freedom. A Freedom that was given to us by God. This freedom is earned daily by our soldiers and sailors in uniform, past and present. We need to remember the roots of our freedom.
The next three posts are all repeat posts, but they need to be repeated. They are, in order, The Declaration of Independence, a story about the signers and what happened to them, and Red Skelton’s Pledge of Allegiance.
Read them, remember them, and take the lessons in this to heart.
