I might or might not be back
Greetings all,
So much has happened politically since I've last written, and I'm not sure I want to address it all, but I did want to make a start by showing what I'm up to.
With my Ultramarines army basically complete, I'm starting work on a new army: Sisters of Battle.
These are not quite female Space Marines, but they might as well be. Their statistics are not the same as Space Marines, but they wear power armor, and have lots of other cool features.
Anyhow, I wanted to show you my latest painting works.
This is a basic Sister.
These are Sisters Repentia, a group of Sisters that have sinned so badly that the only way they can gain redemption is by killing mass droves of enemies, ultimately dying themselves in a battle frenzy.
These four show the various stages of painting jobs. Starting from the left, this one is just primed black. Notice how little detail you can see. The next one is where I've applied a coat of flesh colored paint to the skin areas, and that makes a lot of things stand out. Then, for their clothes I apply a dark red, and then a lighter red to bring out the highlghts even more. You'll get to see them painted more in the days to come.
That's it, I just wanted to say that I'm not dead, and that I'm still painting figures. I haven't decided if I'm going to start political blogging again, I might or might not. But you have to admit, there is a lot of fodder out there to chew on.
