The headline says it all: Rep. Rangel to retire if Dems falter
Old Charlie is threatening to retire if Democrats don't take back the house this November.
"I'm a poker player and I've had good hands all night long. This is all in," Rangel said in an interview. "I would not put everything on the table if I thought for one minute we would lose."
Even if the Dems don't take back control, I don't think he will surrender his seat. He likes it too much. Besides, with threats from Alec Baldwin and Eddie Vedder to move to France if W won a second term (they didn't), I know how well Liberals are with carrying out their word.
