More on Katrina hotel rooms

I have received reports that the long term Katrina evacuees treated their hotel rooms like their public housing in New Orleans. They fouled their own nests. After these evacuees have moved out, broken furniture, cigarette burns in the carpets and furniture, and so on were found in the rooms. Also, complaints were through the roof.

This just goes to show the difference between broke and poor. Broke is a temporary situation where you have no money. Poor is a permanent condition where you don't want to try and better yourself. I may be broke, but I'll never be poor.
