I’ve always said since I started this blog that if the terrorists use a WMD on one of our cities, that the world will realize that there is no such thing as a “limited” nuclear strike.
Now comes this article, just in time. Who is going to die?
We must decide now and publicly release this nuclear response, before one or more of our cities disappears. We must make the response so terrifying, so certain, so final that those countries that are trying to play both sides get off the fence one way or the other.
The object of the exercise is to prevent a WMD attack from ever happening. We cannot deter those who are willing to die to kill Americans, but we can deter those who are willing to support the terrorists. If we promise swift and final revenge, we can dry up the money and logistical support that the terrorists need to operate.
We don’t have the time to waste. Let’s get to work and put this out.

Junk Science.com has come out with their annual awards for bad and misleading “science.”
These are all examples of politically motivated or flawed theories, then the data is ignored and/or made up to fit the “theory.”
Here is my favorite one:
Anti-obesity crusaders at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, who claimed in March that “obesity kills 400,000 Americans each year,” received a long-overdue black eye when researchers from the National Center for Health Statistics attacked the oft-quoted estimate as overblown by as much as 200 percent — revealing just how the crusaders cooked the books. There’s another one that has a reference to a bustier-clad Erin Brockovich, but I’ll let you find that one in the article…

You just can’t please some people. Found on the Washington Times Inside Politics:
Moderate president?
“After weeks of trying to convince Americans that President Bush plans to use the next four years to sprint to the right, they now claim that he’s battling the right in efforts to reform the nation’s intelligence system,” Ruben Navarette noted in the Dallas Morning News yesterday.
“Which is it? Is Bush: (A) an extreme right-winger at heart who can’t wait to paint the country red; or (B) a moderate who sometimes goes head-to-head with extremists in his own party?
“The correct answer is (B). If you got that wrong, chances are you live in a blue state and believe John Kerry would have made a great president. You probably also think that Bush has a secret plan to take away a woman’s right to choose an abortion, bring prayer back into the schools and placate the religious right in any way possible.
“Don’t believe a word of it. The truth is that Bush gets a bad rap and that he is actually — at heart — much more of a middle-of-the-road kind of guy than he is given credit for being. I’m surprised that so many people, particularly in the media, seem to miss that.”
The Left is too preoccupied with calling him an idiot to notice what he is actually doing. They think that because he speaks plainly and “lacks nuance” that he is a simpleton and is incapable of actually running things on his own. He is a lot smarter than the Left thinks he is, and that’s why they keep underestimating him.
That’s all right, we don’t mind.
