Jesse Jackson just stuck his head a little farther up his ass the other day. Jesse Jackson Says GOP Pushing 'Ideology of the Confederacy'
Jesse Jackson accused the Republican Party, conservatives and the retailer Wal-Mart of attempting to "push the ideology of the Confederacy" in America.
I'm not sure what ideology he is referring to, unless he's trying to say 'slavery.' And I don't know how that could be. Perhaps the Reverend would be kind enough to respond to my comments to fill me in on it?
Jackson urged President Bush to allow Wal-Mart employees to leave the "Confederate" policies behind. "George, join the union. Allow them (Wal-Mart employees) to organize," Jackson said.
I'm sorry Jesse, I must have studied too much government in school. I don't see how the President can legally discourage or encourage employees at a particular company to unionize. I'm sure if Wal-Mart employees wanted to unionize, then they would. That's the freedom of this country.
"They have a blind obsession with the Second Amendment, and the NRA wants to remove the ban on assault weapons/AK 47s and Uzis in September, during a time of national security alert," Jackson said.
Yes, I have a blind obsession to the Second Amendment, just like I have a blind obsession with the First as well. You can say all the silly things you want, just keep your fingers off my guns. What part of "...shall not be infringed" don't you get?
Then they start to get blasphemous. In a related story,
Protestors Call Jesse Jackson 'Worst Nightmare' for Black Community, a group of about 100 protestors was outside the meeting. Down at the bottom of the story was the payoff:
Clarence Thompson, a Jackson supporter and a member of Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, clashed with anti-Jackson protestors on the sidewalk.
"I think [the anti-Jackson protestors] are stupid, I think they are stone stupid. Just a bunch of idiots that should be at home up in their beds," Thompson told CNSNews.com.
"The Rev. Jackson has not been paid off by nobody," Thompson said. He then compared Jackson to Jesus Christ.
Let's see, Jesus lived a life of poverty, he did not run around in $5,000 suits. Jesus did not get involved in political activities, he saved souls. I am reminded of the lyrics from an old Charlie Daniels tune:
See that preacher man talkin' on the TV, puttin' down rock 'n' roll,
wants me to send a donation, cause he's worried about my soul.
He said Jesus walked on the water, and I know that is true,
but sometimes I think that preacher man would like to do a little walkin' too.
There has been enough scandal around the Reverend Jackson that I do not believe a word that comes out of his mouth.
Neither should you.
